Youth Section

(Boys: 6 – up to 16 yrs / Girls 6 – up to 12 yrs)

We continue our ‘Return to Play’ Sessions for the Youth Section which are going really well – with many thanks for the coaching support from both our mens and ladies teams.

Our last outdoor session of the Season will be Wednesday 9th Sept, with possibly an u14s game on Sunday 13th Sept tbc.

We are then looking into keeping indoor sessions going once a month, over the winter – we’ll keep you posted.

All welcome for another ‘return to play’ session – Girls 6-11 / Boys 6-15.

Players split in to 2 groups an older and younger group, to learn and practice in a safe way – with full Covid-19 precautions in place.

Safe return to play requirements:

Due to Covid-19, to ensure the safety of all there are 3 items of admin required please:

Step 1 – Register:

Please register each player with John Lambe (Youth Section Administrator)

by completing the following google registration form:

Step 2 – Complete online Covid-19 learning module:

Complete the certified eLearning module that has been developed for Gaelic Games.  It contains basic information for Players, Parents/Guardians and Team Personnel on their responsibilities and enables participants to get a Certificate to verify completion to the Club.

Once completed please provide a copy to of the Certificate to John Lambe (Youth Section Covid Supervisor)

Step 3 – Complete Health Check Questionnaire:

The players parent or guardian must submit a Health Check Form, upon attending a session for the first time and then verify no changes at each session thereafter.

At each session the parent/guardian must also confirm to the Covid Supervisor, that they have taken the temperature of the player and that it is not more that 37.5 degrees.

Session arrangements:

Parking: Cemetery Road, Edgerton, Huddersfield, HD1 5NF

(by Huddersfield Lawn & Tennis Club or opposite the top entrance of Birkby  Cemetery)

The fields are short walk along the path beside Brambles Primary School

Noel Kitterick (Coach) will meet and greet and direct you to John Lambe (Covid Supervisor) who will check player / parent/Guardian details and the that 3 items of admin have been completed: Registration, Online module and Health Check Questionnaire, along with temperature check declaration at the session.

The session will last around 1 hour splitting-up into groups of 6 of appropriate age groups, to undertake skills and challenges.

Hand sanitiser will be available, with players required to use every 20 mins.

Please note due to Covid-19 circumstances, that there are no changing or toilet facilities at the fields.
